We're here to help you get the most out of Where in the World.
Tap "Sign in with Apple" to create your account. You'll choose a unique username that becomes your public profile URL (whereintheworld.net/yourusername).
Tap the "Add Place" button on the map, then tap the mini map to drop a pin at your location. Give it a name, description, and add your photos.
Each place supports up to 10 photos on the free plan and 30 photos with a Premium subscription. Photos are automatically resized and optimized.
Share your profile link with friends and family so they can explore all the places you've visited on an interactive map.
How do I delete a place?
Go to your Profile tab, find the place you want to remove, and tap the trash icon. This will permanently delete the place and all its photos.
Can I change my username?
Usernames cannot be changed after they are set. If you need a different username, you can delete your account and create a new one.
What's included in Premium?
Premium members can upload up to 30 photos per place (vs. 10 on the free plan). Premium is $9.99/month and can be managed through your Apple ID subscriptions.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed through Apple. Go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone to manage or cancel.
How do I delete my account?
Open the app, go to Settings, and tap "Delete Account." This permanently removes your account, all places, and all photos from our servers.
Are my photos public?
Yes. Your profile page, places, and photos are publicly viewable by anyone with your profile link. Do not upload photos you wish to keep private.
What photo formats are supported?
The app accepts JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, and GIF images. All photos are automatically converted to JPEG and optimized for web viewing.
We'd love to hear from you. Send us an email and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
